Bayne released from hospital

Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne has been released from hospital after being admitted last week, but he will not return to the NASCAR Nationwide Series just yet. The 20-year old underwent a series of tests and evaluation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, after showing symptoms initially believed to be a consequence of an insect bite that had already forced him to visit a hospital last month following the Sprint Cup Series race at Texas. Despite being discharged on Thursday, he will not be returning behind the wheel this weekend at Darlington Raceway, where he was initially expected to compete in the Nationwide Series, meaning he will miss his second race in as many weeks in the second-tier series
